Teleconferencing- Meet Me Conference Bridge
(or How to get more than 2 people on a Conference Call without going Crazy). There are several options to making a conference call:
- Using the Transfer/3 Way Conference Feature on your phone
- Using the 7 Way Conference Feature Button on your multi-line phone
- Have an AT&T Operator Set up the call for you which costs big $$!

- Use Meet-Me-Conference-A NEW Telecommunications Service at Union:
Telecommunications can establish a conference “bridge” which can accommodate up to 12 parties on one call. No feature codes or buttons to push. Just call Telecommunications at Ext. 6411, to reserve your conference phone number and we will activate the number so that on the date and time of your call you can have all of your participants dial into this reserved number and they will automatically be on the conference call together! From anywhere in the world! Each caller can dial in from his/her own phone or you can gather persons in one location at Union and put the call on a speakerphone (reserved separately- Miscellaneous Telecommunications Services.)
There are two options for using Meet Me Conference Bridge:
Cost of Option 1: $10 to reserve the bridge per day. Callers pay for own usage.

Bridge telephone number (518-388-XXXX). On-campus participants dial just the 4-digit extension that is assigned by Telecommunications. - The call can come into the Conference Bridge on a toll free number

(1-8XX-XXXX) which is assigned by Telecommunications, so that the outside callers do not pay for the cost of the call. The on-campus participants dial just a 4-digit extension assigned by Telecommunications.
Cost of Option 2: $10 to reserve the bridge per day + actual billed cost of the combined usage charges for all participants’ incoming calls @ ~$0.20/minute.
