* Concordy online: would ads be an issue, or could they just create a PDF out of each issue?
- PDF would be fine. Tom will re-ignite discussions with Concordy on "how-to"
* Formalized language in web guidelines restricting use of official template to official sites. The "non-official" template will be known as the "departmental" template.
* New home page, official template
- Some feedback from faculty that template is "too grey"; "dreary"
- Tom responded that feedback overall has been very positive, esp. from prospective student and (self-described) "web experts" However, the grey issue will be revisited.
* Re-launch of alumni online community
- It was noted that alumni should be able to sign up to be a volunteer in Career Center.
* New quality assurance software (broken links etc.)
- Much interest in this; I promised to follow up with instrux/details.
* Alumni profiles
- It was noted that the career center is also working on some alumni profiles (primarily with video), and that we should coordinate our efforts. Follow-up: I've talked with Erik Larsen about this, and we're all on the same page.
* Faculty profiles
- It was suggested that we "threaten" faculty that we will use their Security ID photo if they don't volunteer to pose for a picture!
* Shortcuts to dept sites
- I'm trying to push these; several people remarked that they made it a lot easier to find sites fast.
* Logo
- Let people know that a new logo for the College has been approved, and that it would be rolled out in the near future.
* Events calendar - Campus-wide events calendar is in development; testing will start in April/May, with full rollout slated for Fall.
