Creating Anchors
Applying anchors gives you the ability to link directly to certain parts of a webpage.
- linking to anchor on the same page
- linking to an anchor located on another page
The anchor is the destination you want your visitors to reach on the page after clicking on a link. To create an anchor, first move your cursor and click on the point where you want to put your anchor. Click on the anchor icon in your toolbar . This will bring up the following window:

Think of a short name (no spaces) for your anchor, make sure to remember what you called the anchor so you can refer to it later. Click Insert. To save this change, make sure to click on the Submit button at the bottom.
Linking to an anchor on the same page
Now that you have made your anchor, you need to link to it. Highlight the text that you want to make as your link to the anchor and click on the Insert/edit link button in the toolbar
. This brings up the following window:

Browse to your current page for the Link field. Enter the name of the anchor in the Anchor field. Click Insert. To save any changes, make sure to click on the Submit button at the bottom of the page
Linking to an anchor on a different page
To link to an anchor on another page, follow the steps above, but browse for the different page for the Link field.
