The CMS is easy to use and accessible from any standard web browser – letting you focus on what’s really important – ensuring that your site displays important, up to date and relevant information.

Managing and Creating Content

  3. Viewing a folder
    Clicking on a folder will reveal its contents both in the left asset tree and in the main view.
  4. Creating a page
    The easiest way to create a new page in Cascade Server is by using the Asset Factory set up by your Administrator.
  5. Copying a page
    When creating a page that is similar to an existing page, it is often most useful to Copy the existing page and make the appropriate edits.
  6. Editing a page »
    Because Pages are the assets that contain the actual content, clicking Edit on a page offers much greater functionality than editing other files.

    2. Adding metadata
      Metadata determines the left navigation and title of a page.  It offers additional information about an asset (for example, a page) that helps to classify or describe the asset.

    Cascade Server supports the uploading of files to support your normal web pages like images and pdfs.
  8. Deleting assets (files, pages, folders)
    Assets can be permanently deleted.

Advanced Topics

  1. Editing images for use in the CMS
    Most images are too large for webpages and need to be reduced in line with the content on the page.
  2. Moving assets (files, pages, folders)
    Assets may be moved individually or at the folder level.
  3. Reordering your site's navigation
    Asset reordering is a feature that enables you to manually change the order of assets within a folder and consequently your site;s left navigation..
  4. Uploading multiple files or images using the zip import tool
    This can reduce the time it takes to upload multiple files to the same location.
  5. Saving Drafts
    Drafts are useful if your page updates are incomplete and you want to ensure the incomplete page is not published accidentally.
  6. Creating anchors
    Set up anchors to jump to specific locations on your page (currently available only for anchors on the same page)
