CMS Features (July 12, 2012)
Improved Asset Chooser (used when linking to pages/pdfs in your site)
The Cascade chooser widget has undergone a round of improvements. When clicking on a chooser, a text box will now appear into which search terms can be typed. You also have the ability to browse to your pages/pdfs as you did before.

Google Analytics (for sites in Reboot)
Web traffic to your pages is now available within the CMS. This information can help understand the amount of time and effort to put into pages. The data is from all traffic to your pages. Web Communications can also provide specific reports for oncampus vs. offcampus traffic as well.
Analytics is available as a suboption under the "View" tab.
Pageviews: the number of times your page was viewed
Unique Pageviews: the number your times your page was viewed not including repeat viewings such as using the browser back button.
Bounce Rate: percentage of visits that left www.union.edu from this page. Depending on the content on this page the visitor may have traveled to an external site or another union.edu site that is not tracked.
Image Editor
For those users with the ability to add images to their sites this capability is available. This feature will not be supported by Web Communications. Web Communications has relied on high-quality professional photos of Union in the banners of the new design to showcase the community after recognizing the quality of most photos on pre-Reboot sites were generally not enhancing the content and often took much time and effort to post via the CMS. For the time being we recommend departments utilize Flickr to post photo galleries.
Context Menu
A quick access menu appears when hovering over pages and files.
Recycle Bin
Users can now delete and restore assets in the system and avoid "Oops!" moments which cause lots of headaches. The Recycle Bin features an automatic purge interval that will permanently delete items from the recycle bin after 30 days. Read more on the recycle bin.
Move/Rename Tab
Previously this function was included within the Edit->System options. The concept of moving/renaming is similar but presents warning messages if a change may affect other pages. Review an outline using the new tab here.
Delete Tab Moved
The Delete Tab has been moved underneath the "More" tab.
Paste as Plain Text Button
The WYSIWYG editor replaced the "Paste from Microsoft Word" with a "Paste as Plain Text" button. Review this change on the Known Issues page.
Image Alignment Moved
Aligning images so body copy wraps around the images has been moved to the "Advanced" Tab.
Updated "New->File" Screen
The upload file screen has changed. Please review the updated documentation and remember not to include any info in the System Name field when uploading files to the CMS.
