To create PDF files from Office files (Word/Excel/Powerpoint) you need the full version of Adobe Acrobat. Most computers on campus include the free Adobe Reader to view these files. You can purchase the full version of Acrobat via your ITS representative. The cost is $53 for the license and $25 for the media for version 9.
Note: Office 2007 Users can download a Microsoft add-in to save as PDF without the need to purchase Acrobat. This add-in does not include the advanced features available in Acrobat but would solve the basic need to convert files. Since it is free you could try the add-in and find if you need additional features to work with PDF documents purchase Acrobat.

The Creative Suite includes Photoshop CS4 and Acrobat 9 to support photo editing and PDF creation. Indesign and Illustrator are also included to support advanced print/web media creation. You can purchase CS4 via your ITS representative. The cost is $310.89 for the license and $25 for the media.
