Union College Personal Safety Alert
At 8:07 on 4/16/09, Schenectady police received reports of a shooting at Union and Gillespie. Officers responded to the scene where a fatality was confirmed.
The suspect had headed east toward Niskayuna. The scene has been secured. The incident poses no threat to campus community.
Until the scene was secured, the College posted Campus Safety officers at every entrance to the campus, as a precaution.
