Research shows that more than half of employers looking to hire new college graduates recruit for their positions in the fall, while remaining employers recruit during the winter and spring. Therefore, beginning your job search early has its advantages.
To increase the opportunities available to Union students, the Career Center has developed relationships with numerous employers. Several of these employers not only post opportunities through eRecruiting, but also conduct on-campus interviews with selected students. eRecruiting - eRecruiting contains opportunities from employers who are looking specifically to hire Union College students. Since we are in contact with employers every week, we continue to add to the number and type of job opportunities. Once you login to eRecruiting, do not use the main keyword search section on your home page. Instead, use the “Jobs & Internships” link in the grey navigation bar at the top of the page. Start by selecting ‘Jobs’ and 'Show Me Jobs...Posted by My Career Center Only'. Liberal Arts Career NetWORK (LACN) - The Becker Career Center belongs to a consortium of 28 selective liberal arts colleges to share additional job opportunities with you. These employers are looking specifically to hire students with strong liberal arts degrees. Retrieve your password at the login page.
Idealist.org - This is an interactive site where you can search for jobs and internships with a variety of nonprofit, community action and social change organizations.
