Catholic Chaplain - Thomas P. Boland Jr.
Originally from White Plains, N.Y., Tom earned his bachelor's degree in political science from Holy Cross College, his master's degree in divinity from Harvard University, and is a doctoral candidate in theology at Boston College. He served as a Jesuit Volunteer in a San Antonio, Tex., parish; as a visitor/advocate in the Onondaga County, N.Y., and Suffolk County, Mass., jails; as a teacher and counselor at a Jesuit middle school in New York City; and as a manager of a transitional shelter for the homeless in Cambridge, Mass. Most recently, he was the assistant director of New Yorkers Against the Death Penalty in Albany, where he continues to volunteer. Tom is a member of the Albany Diocesan Public Policy Committee and the Social Action Ministries Committee of Albany Catholic Charities.
