Interfaith Chaplain: Rev. Viki Brooks-McDonald

In 2003 Union College hired an Interfaith Chaplain as consultant to religious programs at Union College. The Rev. Victoria J. Brooks-McDonald has added the responsibilities as Interfaith Chaplain to those of Campus Protestant Minister. This position, funded for a few hours a week, is offered to assist students who are seeking support or resources for their personal or corporate spiritual search. Viki offers assistance to all religious traditions, with special care for those who do not have funding from external sources (as do the Catholic, Jewish and Protestant religious programs).

Viki is constantly seeking settings where she can expand her ability to serve students of traditions that differ from her own. She has attended many interfaith conferences designed for chaplains trying to offer direction and support for the emerging pluralism so real in our world.
