On-Campus work
Students are generally allowed to work on-campus not exceeding 20 hours a week while school is in session and 40 hours a week when school is not in session. Under normal circumstances INS approval is not required. Students must consult with their advisors regarding on-campus work.
Complete the Permission to Work form and turn it into the Intl. Students Office if you are working on campus.

Social Security Number
Students who plan to work on or off campus are required to apply for a Social Security Number. The process takes at minimum two weeks and you will need documents in order to apply.
