Steinmetz Symposium

Every spring, Union students showcase their scholarly and creative work at the popular Steinmetz Symposium, begun in 1991. This all-campus event is named for former electrical engineering and applied physics professor Charles Proteus Steinmetz (1865-1923), widely regarded as America’s leading electrical engineer of that era. Classes are suspended for the day as students, faculty, staff and parents attend student research presentations all over campus.
