The Biochemistry Program at Union...

  • Provides students with a solid foundation in the principles of chemistry and biology needed to understand life at the molecular level.

  • Prepares students for life after Union in a variety of fields, including:

    • Graduate work in biochemistry, molecular and cell biology.

    • Graduate work in medicine, dentistry and other allied health professions.

    • Laboratory research at foundations, in government, and at corporations in such fields as biomedicine and forensics.

    • A wide variety of other fields. The analytical skills developed by biochemistry majors have brought them success in areas such as law, financial services, etc.

  • Engages students in the excitement of modern biochemistry with small classes and labs taught only by faculty with Ph.D.s and opportuntities to do one-on-one research with faculty in chemistry, biology, physics, bioengineering, and other fields.
