Funding
Union College's Center for Bioengineering and Computational Biology has been generously funded through a $1.6 million dollar grant from the Howard Hughes Medical Institute beginning in 2004. Previous funding for development of the curriculum in Bioengineering at Union was provided by an Andrew W. Mellon Foundation Grant "Using Technology to Facilitate Interdisciplinary Teaching & Learning".
The development of the Bioengineering Major was supported by the Arthur Vining Davis Foundations and by an anonymous Electrical Engineering alumnus who made a significant contribution to support the Bioengineering Capstone Design course.
