EdGE (Educating Girls for Engineering)
A residential summer workshop for high school girls
-
Did you know that women constitute 51% of the population of the United States and 46% of the labor force, but that only 9% of today's practicing engineers are women?
-
The EDGE program offers high school girls a unique opportunity to explore engineering in a way beyond basic math and science. EDGE participants use the engineering design and problem-solving skills they develop during the program to design and create toys and communication tools for disabled children at a local rehabilitation center.
- More information and applications for the summer 2011 program are available.
