UNION COLLEGE DEPARTMENT OF CHEMISTRY seeks an experimental physical chemist for a tenure-track position beginning in Fall 2012.  Teaching responsibilities will be principally in physical chemistry and general chemistry courses.  The candidate is expected to have a Ph.D. in biophysical chemistry, physical chemistry or a related chemistry or a related chemistry subdiscipline, postdoctoral experience and the potential for excellence in undergraduate teaching and experimental research.  Candidates whose research program would contribute to the College’s ongoing interdisciplinary activities in Biochemistry and/or Environmental Science are especially welcome.  Applications must include a CV, a statement on the applicant’s background and interests in teaching, an outline of research interests (three-page maximum), and a list of required instrumentation and equipment.  These materials should be e-mailed as a single pdf file to chemsearch@union.edu or mailed to Professor Michael E.
