This photograph (number 40) continues Stillman’s series of unusual views of the architecture of the Parthenon.  Stillman carried his heavy camera equipment up to the top of the building to shoot this photograph.  It provides a close up view of one of the few remaining sections of the Parthenon’s frieze that was still in situ.
