Michael S. Rapaport is a Union alumnus, an investor, and a real-estate lawyer in New York, NY. A patriot of Union, he has been actively involved in the life of the College for many years.
Ethics Initiative Team
Bob Baker, Philosophy and Bioethics
Dr. Bob Baker is an expert in this area. He has conducted national workshops on ethics in science for the National Institutes of Health and the National Science Foundation. Currently he is project director for an NIH Fogarty grant to teach research ethics to scientists in central and Eastern Europe. Professor Baker has also been working with faculty from other campuses and around the world, but this is the first time he has had the opportunity of working with Union faculty on this sort of initiative.
Amy Bloom, Associate Director
Amy Bloom received her B.A. in Philosophy from Haverford College and her Masters in Public Health (M.P.H.) from West Virginia University where she focused on social epidemiology and bioethics. She has worked in a variety of health care and educational settings including Partners Health Care, Brigham and Women’s Hospital, and Empire State College. Her experience is in project management, operational oversight, and grants administration.
