This is a picture that my sister took while she was visiting. We are at the Tio Pepé Winery in Jerez de la Frontera, Spain and I am standing next to a wine barrel dedicated to the Prince of Asturias, don Felipe, who is the next in line to be King.

Statement: “It is truly an honor to earn this recognition and I am glad that others can sense my enthusiasm for the Spanish language. I fell in love with all things Spanish, by chance, when I was randomly placed into the Spanish program in the 6th grade. At that point, I never would have imagined that this would all lead to a term abroad in Seville, Spain and the greatest three months I could have possibly hoped for. I plan to use Spanish for the rest of my life and I am confident that the amazing Spanish Department at Union College will help me with that and send me on the right path upon my graduation in two short years.”
