Title of thesis: "Tattooing Human Nature: A Cross Cultural Study of Ancient/Western World and East Asian Tattooing"

She has been accepted into the JET Program to teach English in Japan.

Language(s) studied at Union: Japanese, French, Ancient Greek, Arabic

Statement: "As the world grows smaller and smaller due to technological advances in communication and travel methods, I feel it is extremely important to study foreign languages to have an advantage in the workforce. My time in Japan truly helped me to understand this importance because in such a homogeneous society knowing the language is crucial to gaining the respect and attention of those around you. As an aspiring Japanese interpreter/translator, languages are the foundation of what I hope to do one day: bridge cultural gaps in order to make this world a better and more understanding place to live in."
