Thesis: "American Aid for German War Prisoners: Humanitarian Relief as Reconciliation between Heritage and Patriotism"

Statement: “I cannot speak highly enough about my experience with Modern Languages at Union. Not only did studying abroad open my mind and expand my worldview, I have also thoroughly enjoyed combining my knowledge of history and German in my scholarly writing. As I move on to graduate work in oral history, I am confident that my study of the German language and culture will serve to be invaluable, as it will oftentimes provide me with another perspective on the lives of those I will be interviewing. Much appreciation goes out to the professors in the German Department who have helped set me on the path to pursuing my passions.”
