Title of Economic Honors Senior Thesis: “Has the Euro Affected Where Germany Exports its Goods?”

Statement: "My interest in Germany and the German language began during my junior year of high school when Tobi, my foreign exchange student, spent a year at my house. I was put into German 100 my first term at Union and never stopped studying it from that point on. After my first visit to Germany during my freshman year, I knew that I wanted to study abroad there for as long as Union would allow me. Union presented the opportunity to be the pilot student for the ISA program, which allowed me to participate in an international internship over in Germany while staying with Tobi’s family for the winter term of my junior year. In addition, I rounded out my time in Germany on the normal Union term abroad in Freiburg and Berlin during the spring term. The study of the German language at Union College has intrigued me to continue on with it in my life through going into international business sometime in the future."
