This photo was taken in the spring of 2009 while on my independent study abroad in Russia.  It is at the top of a mountain in Sochi, Russia, the site of the 2014 Olympics.

Title of senior project/thesis: "Identity in American Classrooms: The value of Multiculturalism and Respect for Diversity"

Statement: "I feel really honored and proud to be receiving the Fullbright Grant for 2010-2011.  I know this will expand my Russian language study and proficiency but more importantly I know that I will have a significant impact on a lot of citizens’ lives in Moldova.  Teaching English and running a soccer clinic will be especially rewarding, given the poor status of Moldova.  I look forward to representing the US and hope to gain a lot from this experience!"
