Statement: “Being involved with the Russian program here at Union College has been an absolutely fantastic experience; the professors and teaching assistants are outstanding and the warm sense of community is unparalleled. I was thrilled to be able to represent our wonderful college at the New York State Russian Competition and attribute my success to my peers and my instructors. I have always fostered a love of languages, having first fallen head over heels for Latin and then being similarly smitten with Russian. I am very excited to be working with one of Union's wonderful professors of Russian language, Kristin Bidoshi, to plan Union's first ever term abroad to Irkutsk, Siberia for Spring 2014. For me, Russian is not a language, but a passion and I look forward to where my Russian studies will take me next--hopefully half way around the world!”
