Assistant Professor, tenure-track, beginning September 2012. Areas of expertise and competence are open, but the successful candidate should be willing and able to teach and conduct research in a period of the history of Western philosophy. The candidate is expected to teach in her/his area of expertise at all undergraduate levels, from introductory to advanced. Teaching load is 6 courses a year: 2 courses in each of three 10-week trimesters. Founded in 1795, Union College was the first institution of higher learning chartered by the Board of Regents of the State of New York, and it continues to be one of the premier Liberal Arts Colleges in the country.
