Staff Picks
Some of our Admissions staff's favorite places to eat.

Geoff Bowman '04, associate dean:
"Pizza King has the best pizza. As far as pub fare goes, I recommend Katie O'Byrne's haddock sandwich nestled in a warm potato bun, and you can't go wrong with the wings, particularly after a hockey game."

Ann Fleming Brown, director:
"I love Ambition for its delicious sandwich and local coffee shop flavor, and Cell Bistro for tapas or dinner."

Vernon Castillo, senior associate director:
"Cornell's good, traditional Italian food, perfect for a special occasion or any time."

Susan Hanks, associate dean:
"For lunch, Aperitivo Bistro has such interesting sandwiches and salads, and the ambience is modern, urban, airy, relaxing."

Matt Malatesta '91, vice president:
"Café Nola is a great lunch stop for New Orleans cuisine, and Gershon's is the best deli North of New York City."

Jessica Wenger '10, assistant dean:
"Scotti's has delicious pizza and the friendliest service. I'd always go with my parents on family weekends. Bangkok Bistro has great specials and I enjoy the karaoke."

Abbey Massoud-Tastor '07, assistant dean:
"I enjoy the Van Dyck for its large menu, fresh food and good service. Plus, the Stockade is a great location for a walk."

Delon McAllister '08, and Aaron Ray '10, assistant deans:
Both Bombers fans.
Delon: "The burritos are stellar. It's a very welcoming place, and the owner is a Union alum who's giving back to the city of Schenectady."
Aaron: "Terrific taco buffet."
