Why I chose to work at Union:
I’ve always been drawn to colleges with a strong sense of community and a commitment to student-faculty relationships for undergraduates – two things that really define Union. Our students make the most of the unique opportunities here; they don’t take them for granted.
English, with minors in History and Philosophy
Favorite sports teams:
New York Yankees and Baltimore Ravens
Favorite vacation destination:
One of my favorites is Williamsburg, VA – where my family has spent many vacations because we all love history, especially American history. My husband’s family has been vacationing in Sea Isle City, NJ for generations, so it’s been fun to join in that tradition and it has quickly become a new favorite of mine as well.
To Kill a Mockingbird is my all-time favorite book. I also love memoirs. I don’t think that I’ve ever read a memoir that I didn't like. To learn about people, their part of the world, and the era that they grew up in from their own perspectives and points of view is fascinating to me.
Meet Me in St. Louis
Favorite Schenectady restaurant:
Bombers Burrito Bar – I’ve been going to Bombers restaurants since before I started working at Union and I like them even more now that I know they’re owned by a Union alum!
Hobbies and interests:
Reading, going to the movies, watching baseball
