My experience as a student here (a few years back!) was transformative. I wanted to introduce this experience to other students. I also was excited to return to the Capital Region, which is a vibrant and exciting place to live and raise a family.

Managerial economics

Favorite sports team:
Baltimore Orioles

Favorite Union sports team:
All intramural broomball squads. Ice, sneakers, helmets, swatting a ball around - what's not to love?

Favorite vacation destination:
Grandma and grandpa's house, in southwestern New York.

Favorite movie:
"One Flew over the Cuckoo's Nest"

Favorite book:
"The Killer Angels" by Michael Shaara,about Gettysburg. I had many great history courses at Union, and now I can't get enough of historical fiction.

Favorite musician:
Bruce Springsteen. I was immersed in Springsteen as an undergraduate here.

Favorite Schenectady restaurant:
Café Nola is a great lunch stop for New Orleans cuisine, and Gershon's is the best deli North of New York City.

Favorite spot on campus:
Grant Hall, of course, where I love to talk with prospective students near the fireplace.

Hobbies and interests:
All things outdoors: camping, canoeing, hiking.
