Union is a close-knit community, and when I was looking at schools, I could feel that right away. I chose to work at Union because I loved my time here, and I wanted the opportunity to help other students make good choices for college.
College Major:
French (Spanish minor)
Term abroad:
Rennes, France
Favorite Union sports team:
Men's and women's hockey. So many people show up to support our teams. It illustrates how everyone in the Union community tries to support one another in their endeavors. The crowds are also a nice combination of people from the College and the local community. The students and visitors really get a chance to interact.
Favorite vacation destination:
Cape Cod is a family vacation, a great chance to escape with people I care about. I love Paris because I can use the skills I learned in the classroom on a big scale. I particularly enjoy the Picasso museum; the architecture is as wonderful as the artwork.
Favorite book:
"Crime & Punishment" by Dostoevsky
Favorite movie:
"Gone With the Wind"
Favorite musical group:
Dixie Chicks
Favorite Schenectady Restaurant:
I enjoy the Van Dyck for its large menu, fresh food and good service. Plus, the Stockade is a great location for a walk.
Favorite spot on campus:
The third floor of Schaffer Library; you can look down and see all the books and people. It's a great place to study or read. I spent a lot of time doing my senior thesis there.
