Each academic year, UNITAS awards its Community Building Award to a Union College student, administrator, staff or faculty member. To be eligible, a person must first be nominated by a current union College faculty, staff or student. All nominations must include two letters of recommendation from a faculty or staff member, (The nomination letter, if from a faculty or staff member, may serve as one of the letters of recommendation). Additional letters of support from any member of the College community are optional.
The Community-Building Award goes to a student, administrator, staff or faculty member who best demonstrates outstanding leadership by regularly creating events that bring together as many segments of the campus community or maintaining an organization dedicated to community service, charitable fundraising or celebration of College history.
