Donor Recognition

Every individual who makes a gift to Union College automatically joins one of our donor groups. In this way, we recognize and show our deep appreciation for gifts made at every level.

Following is a brief description of each of our many different donor groups:

The Terrace Council
Donors who make gifts of $2,000 or more annually and exemplify leadership philanthropy automatically become members of this prestigious group. Other donor societies at Union include:

The Eliphalet Nott Society
The Eliphalet Nott Society offers Union alumni entrepreneurs opportunities to lend professional support to other enterprising alumni, to tap the expertise of experienced entrepreneurs and to support the College.

The Waldron Roll
This society, which honors consecutive giving of at least two consecutive fiscal years, is open to any donor, regardless of the monetary amount of the gift made. Special recognition is accorded to those giving consecutively for 5, 10, 15 and 20 or more years.

The Ramée Circle Society
America's first architecturally planned campus was designed for Union by Joseph Jacques Ramée, whose visionary plan continues to guide the physical expansion and enhancement of the grounds. Similarly, thoughtful gifts from alumni and friends guide and enhance Union's financial development. Hundreds of loyal alumni, parents, and friends have thought to remember Union in their estate and financial plans. The impact of these gifts is especially powerful and inspires others to consider supporting Union in a similar way.

The Arch
Union's newest and most prestigious group honors and recognizes those alumni, friends, and family who have cumulatively contributed $1 million or more to the College. The generosity of these donors has immeasurably enhanced the learning environment that is Union College, allowing students and faculty members to realize the full extent of their potential. Arch members benefit from a special induction ceremony and have their names permanently commemorated on Union's historic campus.

Generation U
Generation U was formed to bring together the younger Union community—current students and alumni who graduated within the last decade—and emphasize the importance of giving back to Union. The group interacts through social connections and networking aimed at supporting each other and the College.
