Activities Chair

Golub House
Welcome

Golub House is composed of a diverse group of students with a wide range of interests. Our goal is to create an environment that is open and welcoming to the entire campus community. We accomplish this by hosting a variety of events, catered to the interests of our members. Past events have included performances by bands, cooking demonstrations, stress relieving massages, and faculty/student lunches featuring international cuisine. We encourage you to explore our website, and if you have any questions feel free to contact a member of the Golub House Council.

Melanie Watman

watmanm@union.edu

Hey Everyone,

I’m Melanie and I am a sophomore in the class of 2012 double majoring in Music and according to the registrar Biology, but I’m most likely switching to Neuroscience (basically I’m a confused Pre-Med student, go figure). I want to minor in anthropology as well… Maybe I am just a little too ambitious for my own good. When not trying to come up with awesome Golub Activities, you will most likely find me with the Varsity Tennis team practicing for our next match, or writing Music in TMC because that is where you will find most Music students spending a huge portion of their time. I am also a HUGE Broadway show fanatic so if you happen to be eavesdropping on me, majority of the time you will find me singing a Show tune to my dorky self.

The Minerva system is built largely on communication between the students. If anyone has any ideas for things they would like to see happen in Golub, feel free to shoot me an e-mail or come find me in Golub because that is where I will be living (don’t worry I’m not intimidating in the least bit).

Also, Our Communications Chair in charge of the website, Lauren Brown, will be studying abroad this fall, so I will be filling in for her for the term. If there are any questions about that as well I’d be happy to reply!
