David Henle is the president and portfolio manager of DLH Capital, a family investment firm he founded in 2005 after retiring from Goldman Sachs.
David has been a principal benefactor of the You Are Union campaign where he established the Henle Scholars, providing merit scholarships for students who demonstrate outstanding talents and show promise of exceptional contribution to the campus community. These scholarships are awarded to first-year students and continue to support the student through graduation.
David and his wife Joan most recently contributed the lead gift to create the Henle Dance Pavilion, a home for classes, rehearsals, workshops, performances and other events. The Pavilion will replace the current 1,200-square foot studio in Visual Arts with a 2,200-square-foot dance studio and 1,000-square-foot lobby that will double as rehearsal space. Both new spaces will have 20-foot ceilings that will safely permit lifts and aerials.
David has been a trustee at the College since 2004. While at Union, the industrial economics major was a member of Kappa Alpha, worked at WRUC radio station and was active in intramural sports.
He and his wife have two sons, Mark & Peter.
