Meet the Staff

Beth Hoppe

Beth Hoppe is the Shared Resources Librarian at Shaffer Library. She serves as a primary member of the reference and instruction teams, as well as supervising the library’s resource sharing initiatives and consortial agreements, including Interlibrary Loan and ConnectNY.

Beth came to Union in September 2008 after working as Reference and Information Literacy Librarian at Whitman College in Walla Walla Washington. She received her MLIS from Simmons in Boston in December 2005 and her BA in English with a double minor in Chemistry and Philosophy from the University of Vermont in 2004. She grew up in Maine and now resides in Niskayuna with her husband - Union College Bookstore Technology Manager - Bryan, their son Felix and 2 cats.
