American Shakespeare Center on Tour to stop at Union

On Oct. 9 and 10, the American Shakespeare Center on Tour will visit the College.

In addition to holding a variety of workshops, the company will perform two plays, Shakespeare's "Winter’s Tale" on Sunday and John Ford’s "‘Tis Pity She’s a Whore" on Monday. Performances, held in Old Chapel, begin at 8 p.m. Admission is free with a Union I.D.

The American Shakespeare Center is a highly regarded performance and research center in Staunton, VA, which follows the original Renaissance practices of audience interaction in a festive and fun atmosphere. For more information about the shows, or to reserve a spot at a workshop or a Minerva dinner or lunch with the actors, contact Prof. Pattie Wareh by email at warehp@union.edu.
