Tips to make the most of online calculator of college costs

A new federal rule that requires colleges to post net-price calculators on their Web sites, showing the cost of attendance and an estimate of what a family would actually pay after financial aid, goes into effect this month. Linda Parker, director of financial aid, recently spoke with Sandra Block, who writes the "Your Money" column for USA Today. The College has used a net-price calculator since January.
