Kenney Center recognizes student volunteers

The Kenney Community Center recently held its Volunteer Appreciation Dinner in College Park Hall. The center recognized the work of student, faculty and staff volunteers. 

Those recognized were: 

Jennifer Sexton '15; Maria Dreeszen '14; Shilpa Darivemula '13, Naika Joseph '12 and Mary O'Keeffe, adjunct associate professor of economics.

"The honorees are all unsung heroes," said Angela Tatem, the director at the Kenney Center. "It was a nice moment to recognize them in front of their peers who also have a heart of service to the community."

The keynote speaker for the event was Antonio Gutierrez '10. Representatives from COCOA House and the Bethesda House also spoke. Performers were the Heavenly Liturgical Dance Ministry, the Dutch Pipers and the Garnet Minstrelles. The event was hosted by Christian Garcia '14 and Jasmine Roth '13. The event was co-sponsored by Wells House.
