Benjamin Bucinell ’14 is the Kenney Community Center’s Volunteer of the Week.
As treasurer of Alpha Pi Chi Psi fraternity, he has planned various philanthropy events among fellow Greek organizations, such as uniting Chi Psi and Sigma Delta Tau sorority to volunteer at the Schoharie Creak Basin. Over spring break, he spent two days assisting AmeriCorps Volunteers at the Basin as well, cleaning up after storms Irene and Lee.
Bucinell regularly volunteers at his local synagogue, and spent four weeks this past summer volunteering as a research assistant in Cusuco National Park in Honduras. On campus, he also serves as the vice chair of the Honor Council and is a member of the AAC Sub-Council on Academic Integrity. The Niskayuna, N.Y. native is a chemistry and classics double major and minor in mathematics.
