History shines at family reunion

This past weekend, members of the Bigelow Society held their annual meeting on campus for the first time. The focal point of the gathering was Union's John Bigelow, Class of 1835. Bigelow was co-founder of the New York Public Library, was appointed consul general to Paris by President Abraham Lincoln and was editor and publisher of Benjamin Franklin's autobiography.
