Academic Recovery

Your academic success is important to us.  If you are of Sophomore standing and have been placed on Academic Warning for the term or are a Returning Student from an academic suspension, you are required to participate in the Academic Recovery Program (ARP), designed to help students develop the skills needed to be successful at Union and return to good academic standing.

Students will develop an Academic Recovery Plan which includes:

  • setting appropriate goals,
  • identifying potential challenges and obstacles, and
  • specifying actions and resources they will use to facilitate their efforts.

Although not required, students often choose to hold weekly or bi-weekly meetings with the Director of Academic Achievement to reflect on their progress and help keep them on track.

It's critical that students take proactive steps towards their own success.  While we will do what we can to help you, it is ultimately your responsibility to take the initiative and follow through.  To set up a meeting, contact Gale Keraga, keragag@union.edu.
