Beginning with the class of 2010, all political science majors must fulfill a Foreign Experience Requirement. This requirement can be satisfied by one of the following:
- completing a three course language sequence (only two courses are required if students begin their language sequence beyond the introductory course)
- participating on a full length term abroad (mini-terms will not satisfy the requirement).
We strongly advise students to not count on acceptance into a term abroad program as most have highly competitive application processes. Thus, political science majors who think it likely they won't be accepted into a term abroad program should begin their language sequence early, rather than waiting until their senior year.
