Advising for Students
The goal of academic advising at Union is to support students in making informed choices that maximize the benefits of a liberal arts education. Your academic advisor will assist you in choosing classes, dealing with registration, declaring a major, and thinking about your future.
When you first arrive at Union, you are assigned an academic advisor based on your stated interests. Once you have declared your major, you will be assigned a faculty member from your major department. While ultimately, you are responsible for your decisions and for availing yourself of what Union has to offer, a good relationship with your advisor can help you to realize your potential.
