Changing Advisors

It is important that students feel comfortable enough with their advisors to make that relationship productive. On occasion, a student finds that he or she does not "click" with his or her assigned undeclared (non-major) advisor. If that is the case, the student should feel free to request a change of advisor by filling out the following electronic form: 

Change of Advisor for Undeclared Students (students not ready to declare their major)

The form will be electronically submitted to the Office of the Dean of Studies and a new assignment will be made. 

Students wishing to change their advisors within the major can utilize the following form:

Change of Advisor Within the Declared Major

Students ready to declare their major should utilize the "Declaration or Change of Major or Minor" form. In the process of declaring a major, students are assigned a new advisor from the major department:
