Description
Provide career advising and programming to undergraduate, graduate students, and alumni of the University of Richmond's School of Arts & Sciences, Jepson School of Leadership and Robins School of Business to assist them in identifying and achieving their career goals. Develop relationships with various campus and external constituents including employers, alumni, faculty/staff and families to fulfill the goals and mission of Office of Alumni and Career Services. The successful candidate serves as a liaison to designated faculty in Arts & Sciences as well as Business.
Qualifications
The successful candidate will posses a Masters in Education/Counseling/Higher Education Administration or related field or equivalent experience; a minimum of 2 years experience in career services, higher education or corporate human resources required; particularly working with undergraduate business and liberal arts students. Knowledge of career development and student development theories and research, recruiting trends; Knowledge of relationship building with a variety of constituents, including employer recruiters, alumni, parents and families, faculty & staff; Ability to advise students, alumni and organizations; Proven presentation, group facilitation, and teaching skills; Supervision and leadership skills; Outcomes assessment; Teamwork abilities; Creativity in program development, processes, relationship development and other functions of the position; Thorough understanding of cutting-edge career services and other technologies; MBTI certification preferred.
