Under supervision, Computer Systems Programmers perform tasks related to the maintenance and enhancement of computer programming systems which assist other data processing employees and foster the efficient operation of the computer. They install, evaluate and modify programs, such as system control, file management, utilities, language facilities, and other program packages.
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university; or One year of permanent, competitive class service in the Computer Applications Programmer title; or An equivalent combination of education and experience.
