The Rockefeller College of Public Affairs & Policy seeks an office coordinator to handle administrative operations for the Dean's Office at Rockefeller College and represent the Dean's Office from a University-wide perspective. This individual will be responsible for coordinating and managing the human resources paperwork process, including information management and the origination of required forms for all new hires and changes at the College; managing the performance review process for junior faculty; responding to internal and external communications within the Dean's office; preparation and coordination of tenure and promotion packets; management of faculty searches; providing administrative support to the assistant to the dean on the logistics, planning and implementation of the Rockefeller College Recognition Ceremonies (graduate and undergraduate); assuming budget-related projects and conducting research of a financial nature for the assistant dean; managing the College’s system of files and resources; serving as the College’s liaison with the University’s Federal Work Study Office, and supervising federal work study students and some graduate assistants; serving as the College’s designated supervisor of telecommunications activities and information; and working cooperatively with the dean, chairs, centers, and faculty and staff in the coordination and implementation of tasks and information to encourage the smooth and efficient functioning of the College.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree from a college or university accredited by a US Department of Education or internationally recognized accrediting organization
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively and build relationships with colleagues and constituents in a diverse community
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to plan and manage short and long-term projects
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Minimum two years professional administrative experience
