Production Support Engineer

The Production Support Engineer position involves supporting all aspects of production operations with an emphasis on moving new products through the prototype stage into production.  It requires interaction with all departments, including sales and marketing (with some direct customer contact), purchasing, design, engineering, quality and facilities. 

Preparing ceramic parts for brazing, (including application and firing of metalizing paints), high temperature brazing in vacuum or controlled atmospheres, soldering, welding, cleaning, assembly and electrical and mechanical testing are typical processes used.

New Product Development 
-  Build Prototype Parts
-  Revise or develop processing steps for new products
-  Resolve issues with fixturing
-  Conduct special product testing
-  Document development

Process Engineering and Production Support:  
- Support established production processes
- Develop new processes
- Implement new equipment
- Identify and resolve problems 
- Make productivity improvements
- Conduct Operator training
- Generate  documentation
