Description
The Financial Information Services Agency (FISA) has a vacancy for a QA Analyst – Manual / Automation in the testing team for the sanity check, system integration testing, and regression testing of a JAVA based application. Candidate must possess good knowledge of Software Life Cycle, ability to understand and transform business requirements and technical designs into the test cases. Knowledge in the following is a must: SQL, HP Quality Center (QC) and Clear Quest. Experience in Clear Case and Cognos is a plus. Under the direction of the Test Manager, the Manual Tester will develop and maintain formal test scripts for business applications supported by FISA. Develop and manage test cases, execute test scripts for system, functional, stress, regression, smoke, integration, performance, and user acceptance testing. This person should be able to analyze and troubleshoot issues. This person will need to have the ability to work independently and prioritize tasks to meet project deadlines.
Qualifications
2. A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college and four years of experience as described in "1" above; or
3. A four-year high school diploma or its educational equivalent approved by a State's department of education or recognized accrediting organization and six years of experience as described in "1" above; or
4. A satisfactory combination of education and experience equivalent to "1", "2" or "3" above. However, all candidates must have at least a four-year high school diploma or its educational equivalent approved by a State's department of education or recognized accrediting organization and must possess at least three years of experience as described in "1" above, including the 18 months of administrative, managerial, executive or supervisory experience as described in
"1" above.

NOTE: The following types of experience are not acceptable: superficial use of preprogrammed software without complex programming, design, implementation or management of the product; use of word processing packages; use of a hand held calculator; primarily the entering or updating of data in a system; the operation of data processing hardware or consoles.

- Experience in test data management - Identifying the data requirements, prepare and maintain data.
- Develop and maintain in-house tools to the test data setup.
- Skilled in SQL and database testing.
- 3 + years experience of HP Quality Center experience (All mapping Requirements to the Test Cases and Defects.
- 3+ years experience of IBM Rational Suite (Clear Case, Clear Quest etc.) or other comparable software tools.
- 5+ years QA experience using manual and automated testing tools and processes to perform functional, and regression testing.
- 5+ years testing experience with internet/web application, client/server application and system implementations.
- Strong knowledge to write queries and working knowledge of Database concepts like indexes, database logs, stored procedures, etc.
- Expertise in scheduling and running QTP automation from HP Quality Center.
- Experience in creating scripts using QualityCenter API for bulk data manipulation.
- Ability to work in a highly agile environment and work on multiple projects/tasks at the same time.
- Co-ordinate with cross functional teams java/wmb/mainframe/DBAs etc.) to get the tasks done.
- Involve in Test Tools upgrade and infrastructure upgrade testing.
- Create test plans for any new product releases and infrastructure upgrade.
- Sound knowledge of Test Management in Quality Center, right from Creation of Requirements, Creation of Test Cases in Test Plan, Setting up Test Lab with Regression suite for build/release regression, Defect Management and development of QC reports.
- 2 + years with using integrated IBM Rational applications.
- Experience with Time Keeping System using an ERP or a Customized Application.
- Experience testing legacy systems and 3rd party vendor interfaces.
- Experience prioritizing project work and issues.
- 3 years experience writing, maintaining and executing automated test cases and scripts is a plus.
- Expertise in developing automated QTP scripts using Keyword Driven Framework and Descriptive programming.
- Experience in creating functions, keywords and actions in visual basic scripting for new features and enhancements.
- Expertise in scheduling and running QTP automation from HP Quality Center.
- Experience in executing performance tests is a plus.
