General Job Duties
- Under guidance, participate as part of project team to provide technical support, resolve issues and plan for assigned IT functions.
- Provide customer facing support service to internal colleagues
- Continuously expand knowledge in one of the 6 career paths and apply it to software development, software quality assurance, program management, system engineering & architecture and understanding and developing business solutions.
- Identify and recommend opportunities to improve and enhance communication services to internal and external customers.
- Continuously strive to improve, support and identify opportunities to increase efficiency and expand services.
- Perform other duties as required.


Specific Job Duties:
- Oversee daily Application Support activities such as minor web site changes, publishing of data to the web site, and assisting users with internal custom software.
- Identify defects in internal software and work with the software development staff to correct these defects.
- Provide timely updates and feedback to the end users and IT management on assigned tickets.
- Provide outstanding customer service based on client satisfaction and successful problem resolution.
- Work with software developers to make changes to software, scripts, html, and databases.
- Track problems with internal processes and software, identify problem patterns, and work with the development team to improve the software.
- Create and improve process, system, and software documentation.

Qualifications

Education/Experience Requirements

- Bachelor’s in Computer Science, related field or equivalent experience.

- General understanding of commonly used IT technologies including PC support, Networking, Applications, Programming Languages, Databases, Server Technologies, etc. is required.

- Database programming in SQL required.

- Experience with a major modern computer language / platform preferred. Examples are: Java, C#, ColdFusion (or other development platforms).

- Analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Must be able to work effectively as part of a project team, foster team cooperation.

- General understanding of the project management process.

- Customer service orientation.

- Willingness to learn new languages/platforms as needed.

- Strong verbal and written communication skills.

- Stays current with rapidly changing technology and applies it to business needs.

- Must be able to effectively communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical personnel.

- Working towards professional certification as warranted.
