This is a unique opportunity to work directly with a high-profile client and make a real difference to the people that love and use our software every day. We are looking for the right person to serve as the on-site developer at the headquarters of the New York Lottery in Schenectady.
Our software helps the New York Lottery sales team generate over $3 billion per year in funding for New York public schools!
Do you love developing software and hate office politics? There are no clueless pointy-haired bosses telling you what to do here. You will work directly with top executives of the New York Lottery to understand their goals, and then you will have the freedom to design and implement enhancements to our software in the manner that YOU feel best meets their needs.
A small part of your time will be spent assisting users that might be experiencing problems in the field. You will have the chance to speak with people all over the state, and hear first-hand how the code you write helps them with the work they do every day.
Qualifications
• You must be passionate about developing great software, and constantly strive to sharpen your skills and improve in your craft.
• You must possess excellent communication skills, and be able to gracefully offer and take constructive criticism.
• You must be smart, and get things done.
A bachelor's degree in Computer Science and experience with C# and SQL Server are nice to have, but if you possess the above qualities, everything else will sort itself out.
